HARVEY CUSHING AND THE PULITZER PRIZE in 1926

Harvey Cushing the great American Neurosurgeon, wrote a book in 2 volumes about Sir William Osler. One of my students told me that. He also told me and the class that he won a Pulitzer Prize in the Autobiography category for that book IN 1926. It is the first time I knew that, and I bet not too many do. Thank you MARCEL TAYSEER GHANEM. Two related issues: Harvey Cushing treated the son of Sir William Osler Lt. Edward Revere Osler, , who was fatally wounded during the third battle of Ypres in WWI, 1918. In a paper written by W.M.POLITZERr in 1974 he states that Cushing Syndrome was described in children before he gave his description, attached reference http://archive.samj.org.za/1974%20VOL%20XLVIII%20Jan%20-Jun/Articles/04%20April/2.5%20TWO%20CASES%20OF%20CUSHING'S%20SYNDROME%20%20TUMOUR%20AND%20BILATERAL%20HYPERPLASIA.%20H.P.J.Pretorius%20and%20W.M.%20.pdf
